Exciting Studio News!!

AHarperPhotography has a brand new address!! We are so excited to announce that the Studio has relocated to a beautiful and unique new location in historical Mt. Holly, NJ. Our new address is: 100 Ashurst Lane, Suite 106, Mt. Holly, NJ 08060.

The Studio is located inside the majestic Ashurst Mansion. This location affords us a larger shooting area, a beautiful decor for dynamic and creative captures, as well as the ability to shoot both inside and outside the studio space. The Mansion has a beautifully rich and ornate staircase, a brick archway with lush grounds and a beautiful wrap around porch that instantly relaxes you and transports you to days gone by.

Some of the features of our new Studio that set it apart from your average studio are:

14ft. ceilings
A marble fireplace
A bowed wall with three windows - one stretching floor to ceiling! You won't find another Studio with windows like this.
Window Shutters
Window seats

This Studio is so unique and like no other you'll encounter. We're excited to share this space with you and create some wonderful memories for you and your loved ones.

We will continue to shoot by appointment only, however, we will now be shooting weekdays from 7:30pm-9:00pm by appointment as well as weekends from 9:00am-9:00pm by appointment. Of course, weddings and events will still be available for after 9:00pm.

We can't wait to see you there!!

Gospel Celebration For All Ages

I love shooting all types of events because there always seems to be some "special" moment I'm able to capture. I recently photographed a concert with award winning gospel artist, Maurette Brown Clark. That special moment for me was when she invited a young fan onstage to sing a duet of one of her songs. It was a tender moment enjoyed by everyone and I'm sure the little lady will cherish the moment forever!

60 Years of Wedded Bliss

They say true love never fades. After shooting my latest wedding, I admit I truly believe!

This lovely couple has been married 60 years. To celebrate this momentous occasion, their daughters decided to put together a SURPRISE vow renewal. They worked tirelessly and organized the event with meticulous details... lit walkways, soft candles, beautiful flowers and hints of peacock blues and greens. They successfully surprised their parents separately by escorting them into different parts of the venue and disclosing the plans for the day. Capturing the Father's moment of surprise was classic! Their Mother was in equally stunned disbelief.

Both recovered quickly from the shocking surprise and were changed into their respective wedding attire. I personally loved that the Mother was given multiple choices of dress, shoes and jewelry. That was a beautiful touch!

The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and touching and the reception was equally as special. If was very easy to see how much in love this couple was after 60 years. They held hands all day and never stopped smiling!

From the bottom of my fulfilled heart, congratulations on your 60th Wedding Anniversary and thank you for allowing me to share such a special day with you!

American Heart Association 2011

I was once again asked to provide photos for the American Heart Association on October 15, 2011 at Cooper River Park in S. NJ. It was a cool, windy day but the walkers showed up full of energy and ready for the day. I took candid shots all around and group shots of all the teams. It was nice to see so many people turn out to support such a worthy cause. Here are a few images from the day...

11 TIME WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!

I'm from St. Louis, MO... born and raised. I'm also a die-hard Cardinals baseball fan. While I was visiting St. Louis a week ago, the World Series was under way but they were playing in Texas on those days. I was there to shoot a wedding on Saturday but had a completely free day on Sunday. The weather was beautiful so I decided to take a long walk throughout the downtown area. Of course, one of my stops along the way was the new Busch Stadium. Even though the series was currently being played in Texas, I felt compelled to go to the stadium, take pictures, and touch the gates. I, like so many others walking around the stadium that day, just needed to be in the Cardinals atmosphere.

This year's World Series was amazing... especially game 6!! An improbable season turned into a World Championship. So, I just want to take this time to congratulate the Cardinals on the World Series win and let them how how proud we fans are. Go Cards!!
